Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.

~Proverbs 22:6

The Sunday Church School serves our young people from age 2 through high school. Our classes rotate through a 4-year curriculum cycle of Gospels; Old Testament; Sacraments, Saints & Feast Days; and Epistles.

The lessons for each class share the same topic but are adapted to each age level as appropriate. That allows students who go through the entire program to learn each lesson at elementary, middle, and high school levels – each time digging deeper and asking bigger questions.

Highlights through the year include a sweet but simple Christmas Program, complete with sheep, angels, Baby Jesus and a visit from St. Nicholas!

During Lent the children participate in the procession of icons on Orthodoxy Sunday. Pascha celebrations include Agape Vespers and an Egg Hunt. The school year ends with a traditional picnic hosted by the St. Elias men’s group, SEMO.

We enjoy seeing the children grow in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. We thank God for the dedicated teachers, the eager students, their faithful parents, and all those who graciously support the Church School.

Church school directors are Noelle Bandy and Vanessa Graves.
