Make a joyful noise to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the Lord with gladness! Come into his presence with singing!

~Psalm 100 1:2

The mission of the choir at St. Elias is expressed in Psalm 66:2: "Sing the glory of His name; make His praise glorious". As much as we are able, we strive to perfect our skills to make the worship of the Holy Trinity glorious and an icon of heavenly beauty, an open window to heaven that will invite all who hear to join in the heavenly worship.

The rich heritage of St. Elias Church is reflected in our musical selections. At any given service, you are likely to hear Byzantine chant and western 4-part music in English, Arabic and Greek languages. As such, our music reflects the various backgrounds and traditions of individual members of our congregation, as well as the unity we have as a parish “where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcised nor uncircumcised, barbarian, Scythian, slave nor free, but Christ is all and in all.” (Colossians 3:11)
